What does a normal day look like?

Your workday begins at 9:50 AM and lasts approximately 10 hours. You’ll be assigned a delivery van equipped with a company-provided smartphone. Each day starts with a brief safety meeting and announcements. Afterward, you’ll head to your van to load up with Amazon packages. Smaller items are organized in totes, while larger packages, which won’t fit in totes, will also be part of your load

Our delivery area stretches from Federal Way in the west to Enumclaw in the east, covering everything in between. One day, you might be delivering to bustling commercial zones in Federal Way; the next, you could be out in rural Black Diamond. Expect around 150 stops per shift. The number of packages varies depending on your assigned route and how many packages are delivered per stop—delivering multiple packages to a single location is common.

The company-provided smartphone gives you access to all your route details. This includes turn-by-turn directions (similar to Google Maps) for each stop, the customer’s name and address, specific delivery instructions (like gate codes or other unique details for that stop), and the number of packages assigned to each delivery.

At the end of your shift, you’ll refuel your van and return to the Amazon warehouse to drop off empty totes and share feedback about your route. The final steps include a van inspection, clearing out any trash, and parking it for the night.
